tonight at dinner me katy and dad were talking about old memories from my grandmothers old house. our old fall "festivals" were the best. we used to go out there after church every sunday and eat lunch with everyone, then we would change and the kids would go outside while the parents were inside talking about the service and what their own take on it was. but we (we being all the kids) would go outside and play hide and seek, or kickball.. or something of that sort. we used to have so much fun playing outside. and barely any parents were outside because it was either A. Too hot. or B. Too cold. we didnt care about the weather. it could be POURING down rain and we would be out there playing in it for all we care. we played in the dark.. we would play flashlight tag :) yes, we did trip over stuff but what was a grass stain to us.. we didnt have to wash our clothes.. that wasnt our problem. i remember when we would sit under these trees in the front yard of her house. the patch of trees looked like a crescent with an opening in the middle. (random fact) but anyways we used to dig little holes in the ground and try to "train" caterpillars. it sounds really stupid but sure enough we did. in the front of her house there was a ditch type thing..in the fall we used to carry leaves that my grandaddy used to rake from their yard, and put them in the ditch and then run down the hill and jump in the leaf pile.. we got SOOO itchy but it was fun like everything else.
go dtí an chéad uair eile
